About a couple of weeks ago, local CBC reporter Doug Greer did a news article about the Humber Valley Resort and the sale of a couple of chalets.

Prices Are Way Down
I’m not certain if I’m getting the numbers exactly correct but I think I’m coming close as it relates to the story from Greer.
Recently there were approximately six chalets for sale at the Humber Valley Resort through the auction process.
From what I understand, these six chalets have experienced severe flooding because of frozen / bursting water pipes.
One of the chalets that Greer referred to was selling for $650,000 CAD two years ago. That same chalet recently sold at auction for $50,000 CAD.
Greer described the chalet as a “complete write off.”
There was another chalet mentioned in the news story on CBC.
Apparently there was a chalet that was selling on the resort for $1.2 million CAD two years ago. That same chalet is now on the market for $650,000.

Margaret is originally from Pasadena so she is very familiar with the Humber Valley area.

I went to see this chalet earlier this week and it was on the market for $900,000
