Dan at Crazy About Newfoundland has posted an article on his blog about Jane McGiven, the new CEO of Newfound NV, who has recently visited the Humber Valley Resort.
During her visit, McGiven outlined the new direction for the resort and the company. An email to chalet owners outlined some of the changes the company is looking at implementing.
The big news about the Humber Valley Resort is the fact that Newfound NV will discontinue the resorts rental pool and vacation business at the end of the 2009 winter season.
Some of the other key points are:
- Newfound wants to retain the operation of the resort within the company
- The primary focus will be to build high-end chalets
- Tennis courts will be added
- Focus on completion of the road system, cycle paths and verge landscaping
- Reduce the property sales activity – to create a more controlled build plan
Thanks for the great information Dan.
