Clyde Jackman, minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation for Newfoundland and Labrador appoints Jamie Schwartz as the new chair of the board of directors of Marble Mountain Development Corporation.
Given the fact Schwartz is the CEO of the Deer Lake Regional Airport Authority, this should be a good thing for tourism in the Humber Valley area.
We need to continue to support the airport in Deer Lake as a vital part of bringing tourists to our province.
Many chalet owners I have spoken with at the Humber Valley Resort talk about the convenience of being able to fly directly into Deer Lake, rather then making a stop over in Halifax or St. John’s.
Schwartz has the board experience, the industry expertise, financial and marketing expertise, sport and recreation background, community leadership profile, and the planning and organizational skills required to fulfill the goals and objectives of the corporation.
